Chapter 4

* I know this is really short--sorry! I am trying to figure out where I want to go with this and wanted to get this posted before I continue on with it...Comments are appreciated! :)*


I honestly can't believe I just did that...what was I thinking? She Probably thinks that I am an animal now. Way to go Eric!

But its like she doesn't even realize what I have done to her door. She is just laying face down on her bed, not even bothering to look up at me. I stand there a moment longer not daring to move in inch. And in that moment I see that sobs are shaking her body.

With that I immediately go over to her and tentatively put my arms around her to try to comfort her. She doesn't shy away from my touch so I decide to push my luck a bit further and shuffled my sitting position so that I was now lying down next to Alli.

She still did not protest to my touching her so I brought Alli's body closer into mine, put my head by her shoulder so that my mouth was right by her ear. I began to whisper, what I hope were comforting words, to her.

I held her like that for awhile and waited for her to collect herself.

*Alli's POV*
There was silence after the crash of my door, and I could not stop the sobs that kept coming no matter how hard I tried.

And then I felt strong muscular arms wrap around me.

I know I had a reason to be mad at Eric but the moment he put his arms around me I couldn't help but notice how this small gesture felt so right, almost perfect. Then he pulled me closer and I was in a complete state of bliss. Whatever my reason for be mad was, it could wait.

I just want this moment to last forever. Its a silly thing to wish for but it's what I wanted, no what i needed, right now.

I could feel my mind and my body start to calm. The tears stopped and my breathing was setting into its normal pace.

My breathing was becoming heavy and I could feel all of the emotions and tears from the day getting to me, pulling me into what was sure to be a deep sleep.

*Eric's POV*
While holding Alli securely against my body, I realized that she had fallen asleep in my arms. She was snoring slightly, but I didn't mind...It wasn't like Paul's loud obnoxious snoring when I roomed with him in Pre-season last year. It was calm and I may not have noticed it if I hadn't been waiting for some sign from her that she wanted to talk.

I wasn't going anywhere. And I refuse to wake her up after all that she has been through tonight. Bur there is no way I am just going to leave her, not tonight.

We'll have a lot to talk about in the morning, but for no there is nothing I can do. I shut my eyes and it doesn't take long for sleep to find me...
