Chapter 3

There are people everywhere, I have to say these girls sure do know how to throw a party. Its rather strange to see a party meant to be in the city in this small of a town. So far I have seen all of the girls a handful of times, but not once have I seen Alli.

I am almost positive that she is avoiding me. I think it has something to do with me winking at her earlier. She looked pretty pissed as she turned on her heels and stomped off further into her house.

I don't know why she got so mad when I winked at her...I mean I'm a guy shes a girl...you know what I'm saying, right? I know I would like to get to know her better, for sure. And by the way that she was looking at me earlier I would have to guess that she wants to get to know me as well. So whats the problem? I have know clue.

Since she was going to all this trouble to avoid me, I was just going to have to go to some extra trouble to find her.

I walked around the house and out on the lawn for a good hour looking for her. When I asked people if they had seen her they would just grunt and turn their backs on me. Obviously they don't know who I am, I know I'm no 'Sid the Kid' and don't get me wrong I definitely don't want as much attention as him...but it is times like these that it would be nice for someone to recognize me and point me in the right direction. But no one recognize me, so I have no choice but to keep looking with no assistance.

As I continue my search I spot Max and Jordan surrounded by a bunch of drunk girls, who were laughing a little to loud at something the guys had said...that fucking frenchie and blonde giant! Of course every girl knew who they are, but not me!

Oh well, there's nothing I can do about that right now. Besides I need to find Alli and figure out what exactly her problem is.

Too late. She found me and had a look of shock and anger running together on her face. She was standing just a foot away from me, her face dangerously close to mine. She was swaying slightly and her cheeks were flushed from, what I could guess, alcohol. I couldnt help the images that popped into my mind after seeing her in such state. I wanted to be the one that made her unstable and not only her cheeks flushed but her entire body...having no alcohol involved...

She still had not said anything and I couldn't help what I was about to do next. I cupped her face in my hands, pulled her face up to mine and crushed my lips down onto hers.

She was wide-eyed at first but it didn't take long for her to give into the kiss, and she closed her eyes. The kiss was electric, even the lightest brush of our lips sent a jolt through my entire body. She sighed deeply into my mouth, a sigh of pleasure no doubt, if she was feeling half of what I was feeling in this moment. I took advantage of her open mouth and slid my tongue inside of her. She let out a pleading sigh that told me not to stop, and I didn't plan to.
The kiss was getting heated quickly as our tongues battled for dominance. I had never felt anything like this before with any of my Ex's. I hardly knew Alli, yet I was ready to throw her over my shoulder and fulfill the images that had filled my mind just moments ago.

The sound of hooting and hollering pulled me out of my thoughts. Shit, I forgot that we were still at the party. Of course the noise was coming from the frenchie and the giants general area.

Alli, who had obviously heard the hollering as well pulled back from me quickly, looking around as to get her barrings before having her cheeks turn a deeper red, no alcohol needed this time. She glanced over at Max and Jordan, who are only getting louder. I could see tears of embarrassment welling up in her eyes. I was torn between grabbing her to pull her into my arms to hide and comfort her, and punching Max and Jordan both in their extremely large noses. But I figured that that she would not want me to touch her at the moment being that our PDA is why she is embarrassed in the first place, so I decided to turn to give Max and Jordan a glare that clearly tells them to knock it off, but they are clearly to busy laughing to notice. There is laughing and hollering all around us now.

When I turned around I could just barely Alli's figure running towards the house. I took off after her, wanting only to comfort her, to tell her not to be embarrassed. I followed her through house, up some stairs, and to a room that I could only guess was hers. She had shut the door in my face.

I got to her room and knocked gently on her door..."Alli?" i paused "Could you please let me in?" I waited for her response and got nothing "Alli please I want to talk to you..." I sighed "Alli, please let me in"

I heard some movement inside of the room and heard her say "No, because I would rather not see you right now! Why did you kiss me?! I mean, you have a girlfriend!" she spat out the last word with distaste.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that she knew i had girlfriend, but I still was a bit shocked "I don't have a girlfriend, not anymore" I said firmly

"Ha, sure you don't! at least not tonight, right?" she accused from the other side of the door.

Now she was making me mad. Did she seriously just imply that I would lie about having a girlfriend just to get laid? Seriously?

"I. do NOT. have a girlfriend! We broke it off when I noticed she liked her friend more than she liked me!

a pause "Wow, you really couldn't think of a better story than that? maybe you should just give up now...go find Max and see if he can give you some pointers"

Comparing me to that frenchie? Now. I'm. Pissed.

Alli's POV
******************
I can't believe he wants me to believe this bullshit of a story...really, he is such a man.

I nearly jumped out of my skin as I heard the door behind me shake as Eric brought his fists down on it. "ALLI! YOU BETTER OPEN THIS DOOR, OR I WILL OPEN IT MY WAY!" I was not expecting this out of him. I knew he was a tough guy but this...this was a bit scary

"WHY SHOULD I? WHY DO YOU EVEN CARE ABOUT ME ANYWAYS?!" I yelled back with confidence even though deep down I was scared to death.

A grumble and then silence followed. Good maybe now he will leave me out of his little games. Yet as I listened to his footsteps leaving my doorway, I felt my chest getting tight, and my eyes began to burn...it would have been nice to at least get an answer to my last question even if it wasn't the one I am looking for. I dropped on my bed and let the tears fall. I never cry, but with him I have already cried twice today.

A creak interrupted my thoughts...and then a bang. I couldn't bring myself to look at what had just happened to my door.

Chapter 2

I had seen her so many times before, but it was normally only in Pittsburgh. What are the chances that I bought a house beside hers a half an hour away from the city? Unreal.

I had never really talked to her much, because my girlfriend would always get insanely jealous when I talked to another woman that was not her or her girlfriends. But we are over now and what she thinks does not matter to me anymore. Besides she would rather be with her ‘girlfriend’ who had always seemed to be with us. I can’t believe I hadn’t noticed that there was something more between them besides being ‘close friends’.

I looked down at her. Her dark brown hair falling into her deep green eyes; that have gone wide with surprise. I couldn’t help but chuckle at the expression she was wearing. She snapped out of her daze, squinted her eyes and pursed her lips at m. She was obviously not amused that I had laughed at her.

“I’m Sorry,” I said “Where are my manners? My name is Eric” I paused “and these are my friends, Max and Jordan. We just moved in next door” I said pointing at my new, no I’m sorry, our new home.

I had only been looking for an apartment but when Jordan broke up with Heather, again, and Max began to get tired of having drunken girls and guys showing up on his doorstep…we decided to all buy a house together, kind of like our own bachelor pad.

“Obviously” She somewhat snapped “and I know who you guys are.” She started to unload her truck again, trying to ignore me, I think…

“Nice truck” I said

“Thanks” she simply said, not looking at me. Her friends started unloading the truck as well.

“So, do you ladies have names?” Max asks from behind me, of course he would.

“I’m Zoe!” the dark haired girl said almost immediately, I could see Max smirking out the corner of my eye. Zoe continued “and this is Kat” pointing to the girl with the red-ish brown hair “and this is Emma” pointing to the blonde “and Alli” pointing to my girl. Well she’s not my girl, but she could be…

I saw Alli shoot Zoe a look that clearly meant ‘Shut Up’. I couldn’t help the smile that crept onto my face, watching Alli react this way. She is feisty, I like it.

“Well its nice to meet you ladies” Max said reaching for each of their hands and kissing the top of them. But when he got to Alli she smacked his hand away and stomped off carrying a box of decorations with her. Jordan, who has been surprisingly quiet the whole time, bursts out laughing at Max getting shut down for the first time in a long time I’m sure. I couldn’t help but laugh as well. She got in the house and slammed the door, which only made Jordan laugh even harder, and Max’s face turn a deep red. The girls started to giggle, joining in on the laughter, causing Max to turn and even deeper red.

When Jordan was able to breath again, he became his normal self. “So ladies, please, tell us what we can do to help you!”

They gave each other some looks, and then Zoe took charge and told us what to do. We carried the boxes up to the porch first before taking them into the house where Alli was. If we hadn’t had our stuff moved into our new house for us we wouldn’t have been able to help these girls. Thank God for that! I really wanted to get to know Alli better..

*Alli’s POV*

Great. Just Great. It’s not like I don’t see enough of Eric Godard and his skanky girlfriend in Pittsburgh before and after all of his games. Now I get to live by them. I’m sure that he will start to ignore me as soon as she gets here.

I have the house all to myself for the next year, since my dad took my mom with him on his business trip. So I will be all by myself in the house, while he will be over there with his girlfriend.

I’m upset, of course I am. Why wouldn’t I be? Luckily I work my best whenever I am upset. So I had the house all decorated and the expensive items locked away safe in no time at all..
I had just finished up when Eric, Jordan and Max came through the door with their hands filled with boxes for the party. I hardly noticed when Max tried to trip the blonde giant or I would have scolded him for the second time today. I didn’t see do anything else but watch when I saw Eric come in. He was nice and sweaty from lifting the boxes, his arm muscles flexing under his fitted white T, some of his tattoos sticking out. I continued to look over him, his hockey ass looking particularly fin in his tight almost black jeans. I was staring, I knew it but when he caught me I still couldn’t look away. He winked at me. Well that snapped me out of it, that guy had some nerve! He had a girlfriend. I had to get away from him and find myself a drink.

Chapter 1

Alli had lived by her grandparents for as long as she can remember. When they told her they were selling their house and moving, lets just say that she was not very understanding about any of it. They were her family and she needed them.

She had threatened them that she would dress up in a KKK or Nazi costume, you know like they did in the movie Stepbrothers, to try and scare away anyone and everyone that looked into buying the house. But that had not fazed them, her grandfather just laid a hand on her shoulder and said "Oh don't worry, we plan on showing the house when you aren't around..." So she had no choice but to sit around and wait. Great.

Their house is adorable, but way to much for someone to take care of if they didn't have the time. So Alli figured she would still have some time to convince them to stay.

And she was right about that, at least for a little while. People did not want to take care of it, and would complain, but at the same time it seemed that everyone wanted to take a look into the perfect little house.

*****

A month or two later and it was the end of Alli's Senior year, she was ecstatic!

She was going to wait a year to head off to college. When she got home she saw a big black SUV and saw some suits jumping back into it. She parked her car and headed over to see her grandparents who were standing outside their house. She got to them just as the SUV was pulling out.

"What was that about?" she asked with a smile plastered on to her face, they were smiling as well, probably as happy as she was about being done with school is what she figured.

"Well Alli, we just sold the house!"

*Alli's POV*

Hol-ly. Shit.

Well I had obviously been mistaken thinking that they were happy for me, but they really did want to get out of this town, and who could really blame them? I guess I should be happy for them, I knew that this was coming sooner or later. But I'm not happy, not at al.

"Well that's..." I paused looking at their faces that were pleading with me to be reasonable about all of this. "that's great you guys." I said giving them both a quick hug and said "But I'll talk to you later, I have some stuff that I need to do" I paused smiling "See you later!"

Of course i have somethings i need to do, I just graduated i need to go out and party especially after this news...i needed to get my mind off of all of this.

*****
Two weeks is all it took to get them moved out and the new neighbors in. They were coming to their "new home" today. Joy. I still don't know who they are...my grandparents won't tell me, and that is kind of upsetting to me.

I'm still pretty upset that they are gone, but hey! maybe now I can totally throw a party...in fact I think I will. Tonight.

Welcome to the neighborhood, eh?

*****
It didn't take long with some help from my friends, to get everything that I needed for this party. Zoe and Emma were both in my monster truck (which was brand new... a present from my grandparents, a graduation present and a way to get me to forgive them for moving away...it kinda worked). We pulled in front of my house with all of the stuff for the party in the back. Kat pulled up behind us in her car with everything we couldn't fit in the truck.

As we were getting out i saw the SUV pull in their driveway. I ignored them, and started to unload the truck, with Zoe and Emma helping. Kat started joined us, and would take care of what was in her car later. I heard the SUV's car doors close and heard feet moving towards us. They probably saw the kegs and are coming over to tell us off for having a party. Great. But if they think a little confrontation will stop this party, they are sadly mistaken.

I keep unloading but see that Zoe, Kat, and Emma have stopped. The feet come to a stop behind me. I don't stop unloading the truck.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" comes a voice from behind me.

I freeze. That deep gruff voice is painfully familiar. But there is no way.

I slowly turn around...

Oh. My. God.

It looks like this summer just got a whole lot more interesting.
